Why it came down

Our own review found that the document described our corporate structure, and who is responsible for personal information, in terms we could not substantiate. Publishing a legal document we cannot stand behind is worse than saying plainly that it is being rewritten, so we took it down rather than leave it up while the work happens.

The document was not deleted. It is preserved unchanged for counsel to work from. Taking the page down changed what we publish; it did not change anything about how information is actually handled.
