End-consumer fees
The fees that might appear on your customer's receipt.
When you charge your customers through iqcloud, sometimes a small platform fee is added to the charge. This page lists every fee we add today, when it shows up, and what we explicitly do NOT do.
Today
No end-consumer fees are charged in production right now.
As of 2026-06-03, iqcloud does not add any fee to a charge your customer pays. Stripe's standard processing fee (2.9% + 30¢ per card charge) passes through to you at cost — we do not add a surcharge on top.
When that changes, the new fee gets listed here BEFORE it activates on any of your customers. Per our policy, every end-consumer fee is opt-in by you, disclosed at the point of charge, and revenue-shared with your business — never extracted.
The five rules
What we will and won't do.
- 1. Disclosed at the point of charge. Any fee that appears on your customer's receipt is shown on that receipt as a separate line item. No hidden fees. No fee that shows up only on an invoice after the fact.
- 2. Opt-in by you. Default is OFF. Every monetization feature is gated by a per-tenant flag you explicitly enable. We don't auto-enrol you in anything that takes money from your customers.
- 3. Revenue-share, not extraction. When a stream activates, the majority of the revenue flows to you. Our cut is a transparent percentage or flat fee — never a markup hidden inside a customer-facing line item.
- 4. We do not sell your customer's data. Same promise that runs in the footer of every page on this site. End-consumer behavioural data, contact lists, and transaction metadata are NEVER packaged and sold to a third party.
- 5. Counsel-reviewed before launch. Every new fee goes through legal review before the first tenant enables it. State-specific disclosure requirements (e.g. California / New York service-fee laws) and money-transmitter implications are scoped per stream.
Off-limits
What we will never do.
- Hidden fees. Charging a fee that isn't surfaced on the checkout or receipt screen your customer confirms.
- Selling your customer's data. Behavioural data, contact lists, transaction metadata — never sold to a third party.
- Non-consented cross-selling to your customers. Putting iqcloud or partner marketing in your customer emails or SMS without your explicit consent AND the customer's opt-in.
- Surveillance pricing. Varying the price your customer sees based on profile data (browsing history, device type, location beyond tax compliance).
- Stripe processing margin on Starter or Growth. Stripe fees pass through at standard rates on those tiers. On the Scale tier a small documented Stripe margin is allowed only when spelled out in your Scale contract.
